    Syd Graham Lane Pants

    Instructor: Barbara Saliunas
    Cost: $225

This class is designed for the advanced beginner who has completed a couple of sewing projects and has used a sewing pattern at least once before. It is also appropriate for the intermediate sewer who wants to up their game with pants fitting, top stitching, and other finishing details.

According to Syd Graham’s website, “The Lane Pants are high-waisted, with a comfortably wide leg and buildable elements to help you customize your dream pair of pants. Pick and choose cargo pockets, a drawstring, or opt to keep it simple. Depending on what design elements you like and fabric you choose, you could create anything from linen trousers to pajama bottoms to structured cargo pants and beyond.”

In this class, we will cover: fabric choices and design options, how to use a PDF pattern, sizing decisions, and pants construction. By the end of the class, you will have a brand new pair of easy-to-wear, stylish pants, and join the ever-growing sewing community that is addicted to the Lane pants pattern!

After the first class, students will be responsible for purchasing the required materials (fabric, thread, and elastic).  Students will also need to purchase the Syd Graham Lane pants pattern directly from the designer at Lane Pants Sewing Pattern – Syd Graham Patterns. The pattern may be purchased in advance or immediately after the first class.
